A friend gave me my first Tarot reading around 1972. I was going on a “first” date with a friend of hers and we did a reading about how it would progress. She was a novice and often looked at the pamphlet that came with the deck; however, the reading was accurate. Not what we wanted to see; but, accurate.
Even though I had been studying Astrology for some time, I became fascinated with the cards. My friend bought me the Rider-Waite Tarot as a gift. I read books on Tarot, took classes and started using the cards for myself on a regular basis.
I would pull a random card each morning, read the meaning and then see how it applied to my day. After a while, I began giving myself monthly readings.
When I started my Astrology business, clients always wanted more information about what was happening in their chart, so I added the Tarot. It was so helpful in defining what area the planetary aspects would have the most effect.
